Gideon asche

Gideon D. Asche grew up as the privileged child of a senior U.S. diplomat. He attended private British schools in Europe, then finished High school in the United States. Gideon is fluent in both English and German. He has studied Theology, History, and U.S. law; Gideon even has a useless degree or two.

Gideon served in the U.S. Army in the ’70s, then late in his 2nd enlistment, he was recruited out of the Army to serve as a HUMINT operator in Eastern Europe. He was not recruited for any special military skills or prowess but rather for his ability to BS himself out of almost any situation and make friends where there are none.

To put it in Gideon’s words “The next 10 years of my life was a complete lie. I’m lucky I can remember my own birth name.” He holds both U.S. and German passports and was trained by Sayeret Matkal.

With Desert Storm, Gideon was reactivated and deployed in support of the Federal Narcotics Task Force. Post Narcotics TF Gideon worked contract diplomatic security protecting German and Israeli VIPs.

Jinnik – The Asset, a fact-based account of the Cold War heavily based on Gideon’s personal experience behind the Iron Curtain.

Gideon D. Asche is the Pseudonym that Gideon lived under while working in Eastern Europe in the late ’70s and ’80s. He just went back to using it on a daily basis after retirement.

Gideon now lives in a remote area of the California Sierras devoting his time to writing, converting fine wine into urine, and avoiding humanity.

Brian Parker

A veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Brian Parker was born and raised as an Army brat. He moved all over the country as a child before his father retired from the service and they settled in a small Missouri town where the family purchased a farm. It was on the farm that he learned the rewards of a hard day's work and enjoyed the escapism that books could provide.

He’s a retired Active Duty Army soldier who enjoys spending time with his family in Texas, hiking, obstacle course racing, writing and Texas Longhorns football. His wife is also an Active Duty soldier and the pairing brings its own unique set of circumstances that keep both of them on their toes. He's an unashamed Star Wars fan, but prefers to disregard the entire Episode I and II debacle.

Brian self-published four books before signing a 4-book contract with Permuted Press. His novels GNASH and Enduring Armageddon were previously self-published and will be re-released by Permuted along with two previously unpublished works, REND and SEVER.

Besides the extensive collection of sci-fi and horror works, he is also the author of several non-horror works, including the children’s picture book Zombie in the Basement which is written to help children overcome the perceived stigma of being different than others.

Ryk Brink

Ryk Brink is a South African born, British bred writer, martial artist and avid knife collector. He graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a BA/BSc Honours degree in Criminology with Philosophy and has done nothing but belch nonsense on the internet since then.

Starting out with a series of less than stellar webcomics, one a comedy odd couple pairing of Jeffrey Dahmer with a straight-laced roommate named Greg, another about a Clown Samurai in a dieselpunk universe, and then another about a schizophrenic chased by assassins as he attempts to complete eating contests in a world that was like Lovecraft, David Lynch and Hunter S. Thompson did acid together.

After several, tiring years of dealing with shiftless artsy types he decided to branch off on his own and start painting canvases with words instead of Manga Studio.
