J.B. HAVENS

J.B. Havens is the author of the military thriller book Core of Steel, the first book in a series that follows the main character, Staff Sergeant Bea “Mic” Michaels, as she leads her elite force on black-ops missions that don’t exist to the public’s knowledge.

Born in Colorado, J.B. moved with her family when she was young and grew up in central Pennsylvania. Her love of books started when she was young, reading the Little House on the Prairie books and Goodsebumps, and graduated into Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake series. Her favored books span the spectrum of genres, everything from Stephen King’s The Stand to Mark Tufo’s Zombie Fallout series and all the way to the romance genre.

J.B. has always been fascinated with the military and wanted to explore how a strong female lead would affect a Special Forces operation. This birthed the idea for J.B.’s first book, Core of Steel, which hosts a strong female lead character, Bea Michaels. The series continues to its conclusion with the fourth and final book, Bound by Steel. Also under her belt are one anthology; Beyond the Night, a short story; Ashes & Madness, and two co-authored novellas, No Way In Hell, parts One and Two. She is currently working on the beginning of a zombie horror series featuring the character first introduced in Molly: Survivor which is in the anthology, Beyond the Night. Molly Everett has many more stories to tell and J.B. is anxious to hear them.

Brian Parker

A veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Brian Parker was born and raised as an Army brat. He moved all over the country as a child before his father retired from the service and they settled in a small Missouri town where the family purchased a farm. It was on the farm that he learned the rewards of a hard day's work and enjoyed the escapism that books could provide.

He’s currently an Active Duty Army soldier who enjoys spending time with his family in Texas, hiking, obstacle course racing, writing and Texas Longhorns football. His wife is also an Active Duty soldier and the pairing brings its own unique set of circumstances that keep both of them on their toes. He's an unashamed Star Wars fan, but prefers to disregard the entire Episode I and II debacle.

Brian self-published four books before signing a 4-book contract with Permuted Press. His novels GNASH and Enduring Armageddon were previously self-published and will be re-released by Permuted along with two previously unpublished works, REND and SEVER.

Besides the extensive collection of sci-fi and horror works, he is also the author of several non-horror works, including the children’s picture book Zombie in the Basement which is written to help children overcome the perceived stigma of being different than others.

Ryk Brink

Ryk Brink is a South African born, British bred writer, martial artist and avid knife collector. He graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a BA/BSc Honours degree in Criminology with Philosophy and has done nothing but belch nonsense on the internet since then.

Starting out with a series of less than stellar webcomics, one a comedy odd couple pairing of Jeffrey Dahmer with a straight-laced roommate named Greg, another about a Clown Samurai in a dieselpunk universe, and then another about a schizophrenic chased by assassins as he attempts to complete eating contests in a world that was like Lovecraft, David Lynch and Hunter S. Thompson did acid together.

After several, tiring years of dealing with shiftless artsy types he decided to branch off on his own and start painting canvases with words instead of Manga Studio.

Green Sunday is his first book, which can be found on Amazon HERE.
